TALAASH REVIEW

Talaash have succeeded to create a lot more suspense about its release then in the story. Aamir Khan with a big mustache was not a good idea, He is one of the best actors in Bollywood, but he is forgetting, what he known for. About acting there is no doubt all the three (Aamir, Rani and Karina) had done well. Karina was the best choice for the role.

The story was excellent, but director Reema Kagti failed to make justice with the story. It reflects a touch of M. Night Shyamalan's movie, “the sixth sense”.  Audience doesn't have to Talaash the suspense in the story because the suspense itself yelling that I'm the suspense in this story, "when Karina appears after Temoor get shot".... It was easy guess that she is a ghost..!! The story wasn't demanding to emphasize that much on Suri's son; movie can bore for first 1:30 hrs. Don’t even have a very appealing music. The best thing about the movie is it only go for 2 hrs.

Talaash which has started with a positive talk from both the film critics and viewers received a fantastic opening at the domestic Box Office. The movie topped the business chart with its collection reaching Rs.47.1 crores net in the first weekend; the biggest reason could be there wasn't any competitor against Aamir, SRK and Salman had already changed his releasing date for their movies. Trade experts had predicted that it would cross Rs.50 crores mark in its opening weekend. But the film has disappointed them.

After making a blast on weekend, Talaash have faced a mitigated response, it have collected only Rs.6.8 crore, which is only 45% of the collection on the first day.

Now it will be interesting to see if the movie can cross the mark of 100 crore.
